and Class Field Trips

All tours no charge and on-site. Available for any group of persons of 8 years and up by appointment only. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Group must arrive within 15 minutes of appointment time or tour may be rescheduled for another date. Call Karen Grayer at 951-264-5350 for an appointment.

Local History (CNUSD Third Grade Curriculum)
Corona history highlighting development through mining and citrus growing. Fact-finding scavenger hunt with incentive items provided for completion. Overview of artifacts, road races, Foothill Lemon Company and the mission of Heritage Park and Museum.

Model Railroad
An entire house filled with an HO scale layout depiciting the Santa Fe lines from Fullerton to Riverside and Corona in between. Shows how the railroad tranportation and frieght system operated in it's heyday of 1949.

Insectory Tour
Foothill Agricultural Research is the world’s largest entomological grower of a beneficial bug, Aphytis melinus, which consumes deadly scale on citrus trees. See how they’re raised, fed, packaged and shipped as far away as Italy.

Tree Tour
Discover interesting facts on the park’s wide variety of mature specimen trees from around the world. Walk through a producing lemon grove and learn how Corona was once famous as “The Lemon Capital of the World.”

Art Studio Tour
Explore real commercial studios where fine artists explain their works in progress. Choose our sculptor, weaver, muralist, glass blower, woodworker, painting/pastels, multi media printmaking, serigraphics, or any combination currently available. Finish up by browsing the CAA fine art gallery.

Individuals
Please feel free to come and look around. Museum exhibits are self-explanatory. Open studios are accessible to everyone.
